Anderson Maguire, Glasgow’s largest independent firm of undertakers has been invited to join one of the world’s top funeral service organisations, Selected Independent Funeral Homes. Anderson Maguire, which has six offices in Glasgow and is headquartered in Polmadie, is the first funeral company in Glasgow to receive this recognition awarded by the American based organisation to those who meet very high standards of professionalism and service. Dom Maguire, the firm’s managing director said “We pride ourselves on the professionalism we bring to all aspects of our work and for that to be recognised in this way is a tremendous honour for everyone who works here. I am told that there are only 30 firms in the UK who have been invited into membership”. Anderson Maguire is currently in its 25th year of business. Selected Independent Funeral Homes is a professional association with an invited membership of over 1200 family-owned funeral companies worldwide. It is a non-profit body whose membership aim to promote the highest standards of service to the public. It also provides a forum for the exchange and development of knowledge and best practice in funeral service.
